In connection with Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering Polish Academy of Sciences (IBIB PAN), located in Warsaw, would like to offer help Ukrainian colleagues who are forced to leave their homeland.
IBIB PAN is the largest center of biomedical engineering in Poland and deals with the development and implementation of new technologies, devices and theoretical tools for supporting the medical diagnostics or treatment of patients suffering from chronic and civilization diseases.
We are ready to welcome scientists conducting their research activities in the fields of biomedical engineering, optoelectronics, information technology, electronics, material sciences, mechanics, physics, applied mathematics or other related fields, or university/college graduates with the above-mentioned fields of study, providing them with support and a place and tools to work.
As part of supporting scientists and university/college graduates from Ukraine, we offer:
• employment at IBIB PAN under a contract of employment (detailed information at https://www.ibib.waw.pl/en/institute-offers/jobs-and-internships ) or funding a scholarship,
• temporary accommodation of researchers and their families in the guest rooms of the IBIB PAN Conference Center.

The conference will be hosted by the Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The biannual Polish Conference on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering (PCBBE) has been held for nearly four decades. It attracts scientists and professionals from the fields of engineering, medicine, physics, and computer science. The 22nd PCBBE will be an excellent opportunity for an exchange of ideas and scientific experience in all areas within the field of biomedical engineering. The conference is also an excellent place for young researchers, with the opportunity to present their scientific activities to an audience of the bioengineering research community.
In case the of persisting Covid-19 pandemic situation and travel and meetings restrictions, the conference will be held online or hybrid. The Conference Proceedings will be issued as usual.

Doctoral fellowship in NCN project
The Laboratory of Biomedical Optics is looking for PhD student for a research project.
Research in the planned two-year project will concern, among other things, development of measurement methodology and analysis of data obtained with this method and comparison with the reference modality which is ASL-MRI (magnetic MRI technique).
