Project website: http://phd.ipipan.waw.pl/

Head of the project (IBBE PAS): Prof. Jacek Waniewski

The project is being carried out by the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in partnership with the Systems Research Institute and the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The project is addressed to so-called FBs (Final Beneficiaries). Candidate FBs should possess the Master’s Degree or equivalent which can be the basis for obtaining advanced knowledge in a specific area of science or a scientific discipline, in preparation for independent research and creative activities and obtaining the PhD degree.

The project is guided by the principle of equal opportunities:

“At all stages of structural funds implementation, the European Union indicates as objectives the elimination of disparities and fighting all symptoms of discrimination, including, among others, discrimination owing to age, sex, race or disability. Equal opportunities are understood in the HUMAN CAPITAL Operational Programme not only as equal opportunities for men and women, but also as equal access of all persons to education, information and employment. By eliminating all physical, financial, social or psychological barriers that hinder or discourage full participation in the social life, we should endeavour to allow to all persons active participation in the labour market and integration with the environment.'(HUMAN CAPITAL Operational Programme, National Strategic Reference Framework 2007 – 2013, p. 132).
